Especially if you are a lecturer or teacher, creating learning content that is shared on YouTube is a very useful thing, because it can contribute the knowledge you have to those who surf looking for knowledge on this social media. Well .., then how do you create learning video content to share on YouTube? In this post, I will share simple tips on how to create learning video content.

How to be a Youtuber to get an income

The following are the steps you need to do to start creating learning video content.

Preparation and Planning

At this stage what you need to pay attention to is that you must:
Has a topic / material that will be delivered in accordance with the mastered field of science. The material presented does not have to be heavyweight material, just convey light or basic material, because many users who study on the internet are looking for light material. By delivering light material, the reach of your content will be wider.

Breaking or dividing existing material into a syllabus, for example teaching video content about Microsoft Excel, you can divide into several parts of a video with a duration that is not too long
Determine the Delivery Style, namely how to deliver the material. There are several ways to convey the material into a learning video:

Screen Casting, namely by recording the screen of a laptop or PC, usually this is used to make software tutorials, computer programming designs and so on. This method is quite easy, just prepare the software, prepare the material, and start recording with a good mic so that the sound produced is also quite good.

Example

Screen Casting with Pen Tables:

This is screen casting coupled with writing on the screen using a pen tablet. Usually used to convey material that contains formulas such as mathematics.

Screen Casting plus Web Cam to show your face in the instructional videos you make. This method is also quite good because the audience will see your face.

Free Recording is done by recording activities directly, usually to overcome video content that cannot be conveyed on the screen, such as videos of health practices.

Top Recording:

This method is done by writing on paper and recording it using a camera. This method is also quite unique, usually used for drawing learning videos, or it can also be used to learn math formulas.

Create script plans or storyboards that are handwritten or can also be typed in Microsoft Word or other applications. This is important to do so that the recording process can run smoothly and you don’t think too much. (Yes although I rarely use this myself)

Okay, so that’s what you guys need to do in the preparation and planning stage.

Hardware Requirements

For hardware requirements, of course, it is adjusted to the content to be created and also the funds available to provide the hardware. In addition to a computer or laptop, preparing a mini studio for a recording location is important, with the following equipment: Condenser Microphone, Mic Stand, Mouse, Wacom Pen Tablet if you are going to write on the screen and a camera is needed if you want to create Free Recording or Top Recording content.

Software Requirements

For this software, of course it is adjusted to the delivery style or how we will deliver the material. For Screen Casting I usually use Camtasia, CamStudio or OBS. For Camtasia itself, it is equipped with a recorder and video editor software, so this software is quite easy and widely used by Screen Casting-based learning video makers. But if you need a more capable Video Editor, to edit video recorded by the camera (Free Recording or Top Recording), a fairly light and easy-to-use software is Wondershare Filmora. If you want something more professional, you can use Adobe Premiere.

Start Making (Practice)

If the preparations have been completed, next is the practice of making the learning video. God willing, this section will later be discussed in a special post, namely how to record the screen with Camtasia or OBS.

Publish Your Video Content

In accordance with the title of this post, the publication of learning video content is carried out on YouTube. You have to create a channel on YouTube to be able to upload the Learning Videos that you have created.
