When everyone was discovering the joys of free, in-browser, once-a-day word guessing games in the late 2021 and early 2022 Wordle boom, creator Freddie Meyer says he was inspired by one of the first big Wordle variations, Dordle — the one where you basically play two Wordles at once. Is the Quordle strategy different from the Wordle strategy?
Both yes and no.

Guessing a completely random word that you already know isn’t the solution just to eliminate three or four possible letters you haven’t tried yet is regarded as a desperate, latch-ditch move in Wordle. In Quordle, however, it is a standard part of the player’s strategic tool.
Is there any way to get an answer sooner?
Quordle, can be a slow game that takes longer to complete than playing Wordle four times. However, a brute-force guessing approach can expedite things. If you only want the solution and don’t mind having as few guesses as possible, the following strategy also works with Wordle:
Begin with a series of words that include all the vowels (including Y) and some other common letters. We’ve had success with three words: “NOTES,” “ACRID,” and “LUMPY,” and YouTuber DougMansLand suggests four: “CANOE,” “SKIRT,” “PLUMB,” and “FUDGY.”
If you use this strategy, you will only be able to make one or two incorrect guesses because the majority of the alphabet has been removed. In most cases, however, you will have all of the information you need to correctly guess the remaining words.
